Designer Juan Vidal launches his latest collection titled “Edén”, inspired by a whirlwind trip to Istanbul. “This is a series about union. About how two seemingly opposing worlds meet and create something new,” explains Vidal, who brings his usual sensibility, spirituality and culture to the mix.
Reflecting on the 72 hours he spent in the Turkish city, he said: “A pivotal moment came when I discovered some embroidered blankets in an antique shop. It was then that I realized the deep power of craftsmanship, accumulation and the memory embedded in objects.”
The result is a collection of fluid silhouettes and layered pieces that strike a delicate balance between elegance and seduction. The rich palette consists of reds, pinks, blues and greens, while unexpected combinations of prints – from stripes to florals – create subtle nuances. Twists, ruffles and a play on proportion add a soft, three-dimensional feel to the garments.
