Jones Road Breaks Into Body Care With Five Clean Beauty Essentials

“Body care is not an afterthought. It is a part of everyday life,” emphasizes Bobbi Brown. The Jones Road founder is known for her trend-setting, minimalist makeup aesthetic that’s all about enhancing your own beauty, and it felt like a natural progression for her to turn her attention to body care at a time when the category itself is undergoing something of a transformation.

Jones Roady body care range at a glance

Gone are the days of hastily applying any old lotion and only applying it when your skin starts to crack, flake or is in desperate need of moisture. Instead, body care has entered a more thoughtful era, and experts say multi-step, layered rituals should be as nuanced and indulgent as our facials.

“Your body deserves the same level of care as your face,” Brown says. “There are two extremes in body care – it’s either very basic and purely functional, or it’s overly indulgent and feels disconnected from real life. I see a real gap between products that feel luxurious and sensual, but are still performance-based and can be easily integrated into everyday life.”

But with the fast-paced lifestyles we all live, the beauty entrepreneur designed this collection not to feel like another daunting chore, but an indulgence you can stick with. “People don’t want more steps, they want better steps. I wanted to create body care products that truly nourish the skin, support the barrier and provide real comfort. Rich, emollient formulas made with clean, premium ingredients that blend perfectly into the skin, turning something you’re already doing into a fleeting moment of pleasure. Little luxuries that add up.”

Her cosmetics are characterized by their ease of use, and she says she hopes the same will be true of these five new products. “Jones Road has always been about making things better, not harder – and the body is a natural extension of that philosophy,” she told us. “These are products you use every day, just a step up. Same routine, better formulas—with more thoughtful textures, clean ingredients, and skin benefits you can actually feel.”

Formula-wise, our goal was to create a spa-like feel without the spa. Her mission is to “create comfortable, smooth formulas that leave skin feeling deeply pampered and provide a sensory experience that encourages you to slow down. The scent is fresh, calming, and citrusy with a clean, spa-like finish.” She adds, “We focus on nutrition, barrier support and formulas that improve skin over time while still feeling good with daily use.”

What are the challenges with this new expansion? “Balance,” Brown said. “I wanted formulas that were deeply nourishing and pampering, but never heavy, greasy or sticky. They needed to blend into the skin, provide instant comfort, and still absorb quickly enough for real life – all while meeting our cleansing standards.”

Ahead, take a closer look at the new collection, which officially launches today.

Jones Road Beauty Body Cream

“If the words ‘rich’ and ‘greasy’ make your skin crawl with joy, then you’ll love BB’s first moisturizer,” Brit Fashionexplains beauty and wellness editor Morgan Fargo. “It has a smooth whipped texture that sits like Italian meringue in a little tub and glides onto the skin, requiring a few rubs to absorb properly. For most people, body cream will be a special treat – when you want to feel nourished and cared for. For people like me who crave that dewy baby seal feel, this is a twice-a-day situation, especially in the winter months when cold weather and central heating systems are gradually stripping us of moisture and natural oils.”

Jones Road Beauty Shower Gel

“Thick and luxurious, Bobbi Body Wash is the ticket for skin that needs a little extra care,” Fargo continues. “Enriched with ceramides—a clever ingredient that helps repair the skin barrier and trap moisture within the skin—skin instantly feels softer and ready for a layer of body oils and moisturizer. It’s the first step to smooth, blissful skin, ideal for dry or thirsty skin and a sign of plenty of moisture. The scent is light—clean but light—which makes it a great everyday choice. Maybe not super indulgent for all shower options, but perfect for use morning and night.”

Jones Road Beauty Body Lotion

Bobbi Brown is a rich, thick body lotion that’s infused with hydrating ingredients like sodium hyaluronate, squalane, and ceramides. The result? Smooth, soft and moisture-rich skin that supports the skin barrier. This lotion has a classic push down applicator and I was surprised by how thick this lotion is, it’s more like a cream than a classic lotion. This makes application quite laborious, but you do get a depth of adjustment. I find it spreads more easily when my body is still damp from showering.

Jones Road Beauty Body Oil

I’m a huge fan of Jones Road Body Oil. From the silky texture to the non-greasy feel, it’s a joy to apply on the skin. But its great triumph, in my opinion, is its immediate glow. My skin was so glowing after use and I only applied a few drops. The nourishing effects are long-lasting too, and my limbs looked and felt silky soft for hours after use.

Jones Road Beauty Body Scrub

Unlike the tub-shaped body scrubs I’ve favored in the past, Jones Road’s product comes in a tube and feels less messy. This product is described as a “mild exfoliant,” and it is. The formula glides easily onto skin and uses natural bamboo powder to remove dullness-causing impurities, leaving skin super smooth without feeling rough. That’s probably because the conditioning ingredients included bring a touch of nourishment to a process that isn’t usually luxurious. You don’t need a lot of products to make a big impact.
