Valentine’s Day toast at Altuzarra on the Manhattan skyline
High above Manhattan, Joseph Altuzarra hosted a sweet Valentine’s Day cocktail party in honor of his Fall 2026 collection at The Penthouse at The Standard in the East Village on Saturday night. Guests including Indya Moore and Sepideh Moafi sipped cocktails together and plates of late-night snacks circulated around the room. “We do these after-parties really to celebrate and thank the team,” Altuzarra told us Fashion. “Preparing for a show is a very intense process, so it was great to get everyone together.” The personal touch of the evening was highlighted by the presence of Altuzarra’s mom, Karen. Before every fashion show, she gives the designer an owl ornament — “because she says I remind her of the owl she had as a child,” he explains. This season, she presented him with a papier-mâché owl from Japan to commemorate the collection. “It definitely felt like a little family here tonight,” Altuzarra added with a smile. ——Carly Wittman
Mytheresa Annual Temple Bar Party
Thursday night, Mytheresa takes over NoHo’s Temple Bar for the fourth year in a row. Carly Rosenberg, the luxury e-tailer’s new president of North America, takes on hosting duties for the first time; excited to preside over a New York Fashion Week tradition. Starting promptly at 6:30 p.m., a group of attendees wandered into the dimly lit lounge, which was decorated with yellow orchids in a nod to the brand’s signature hue. Designers like Prabal Gurung and Joseph Altuzarra took an evening to raise a glass in preparation for their shows. “Honestly, I’m relaxed. We worked on this collection for a year and a half, and we went through fittings after fittings, so fashion week ended up not being that crazy for me,” Altuzarra told Fashion. “After this party, I will go home and have a cup of chili, and then go to the Golden House New Year Party. I will go to bed at ten o’clock in the evening.” At the same time, Gurung had just arrived from the fitting room and was so excited that he was dizzy. “It’s going to be incredible. I’m so proud of my team. Fashion week is about teamwork. Without them, I wouldn’t be here right now,” he noted. As the room grew, the crowd ate grilled Gruyere and cheddar sandwiches, shrimp cocktails, and beef sliders while discussing their busy schedules to the DJ’s disco tunes, before immediately rushing off to the next rave. ——Paul Chi
