How Zendaya’s Glam Has Changed for Her Bridal Era

This is shaping up to be a big year for Zendaya. After her longtime stylist Law Roach semi-confirmed that she’d secretly married partner Tom Holland (“The wedding’s already happening! You missed it!” Roach teased at the SAG Actor Awards last month) and a side trip to Las Vegas for some fun, tonight she’ll be presented with the Best Director award at the 2026 Academy Awards alongside costar Robert Pattinson.

The actor’s go-to team – Ernesto Casillas for makeup, Ursula Stephan for hair and Roach for fashion – were on hand to help her look her best for the moment.

When we chatted, Casillas had just sent Zendaya to the 2026 Best of Black Women in Hollywood Awards, where she wore a dress that paid homage to the iconic Whitney Houston cover and sex and city. “That looked like so much fun,” he said. “We played with some metal on her eyes.” It was also a surprise moment, the makeup artist told me. “She said, ‘We can do more whips.’ I was surprised and excited.”

Roach brought Casillas into the Zendaya universe about three years ago. He said that now the two of them were in a very charming state. “Initially, we didn’t stray too far from the textures and colors we liked,” he says. “But right now, we’re playing outside.”

Tonight, Casillas teamed up with Prada Beauty to create the actor’s radiant look. “My signature is beautifully layered skin with dimension, pops of color and shine,” he says, adding that Prada’s new Touch Blush is the perfect ultimate pop of monochromatic beauty looks. As we chatted, the look—a “mature and sexy dress,” as the makeup artist calls it—had been chosen, but the glamor was still a bit up in the air. But when the star took to the stage, it was clear they decided to “follow the monochromatic vibe suggested by Casillas.” “It’s a smoldering, bronzed, brown eye. The same goes for the cheeks. Makes the lips look more dewy but still within a monochromatic color scheme.”

He added that Zendaya has recently started changing up her incredible brows. “Zendaya does her own eyebrows,” he said. “If they need a little trimming, she takes care of it. Lately, we’ve been going for slightly thinner brows. Lightly filled in, not as exaggerated as she was before.”
