Last year, K-pop star Lisa added acting to her resume when she debuted as Mook in the third season of The Show. white lotus. This year, she added being a designer to her list of accomplishments. Today, Kith announced that Lisa will serve as a guest designer for Kith’s spring/summer 2026 women’s collection, which will be released on January 20.
CEO and Creative Director Ronnie Fieg first met Lisa in 2024, when the Blackpink star starred in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 campaign. The two were previously linked through Lisa’s agent, Alice Kang, a relative of Feig’s childhood friend. “Lisa was a fan of the brand and wanted to wear the product. The conversation started very naturally, I sent her a bunch of stuff, and then it turned into a conversation about shooting an ad campaign for her,” Feige said. “We built a relationship from there.” Now, Lisa is moving behind the scenes to co-design a new collection for Kith Women SS26.
Lisa’s 2024 campaign signals to Fieg that they can work on something bigger and more creative together. “She’s very detail-oriented and very focused on what she likes and why she likes certain things,” he said. “I really like that about her. I like anyone.”
For Fieg, Lisa embodies his vision for Kith Women. “She ended up being [mood]The board is for the kind of women we want to talk to. She has an amazing style and we cry for her when she’s out and we cry for her when she’s at work [on stage]” he said. So Fieg wanted to bring her into the fold of the brand.
The design process was collaborative, Feige said. “It’s not your typical ‘design it and put a name on it,'” he said of the collection, which will be available in February. “She was involved in the whole process — when she was touring, when she was traveling, she was on Zoom, we were fitting with her, we were conceptualizing with her. The first round of samples was a perfect fit for her. So she was really involved in every detail of the whole process.”
To date, Kith Women’s collaborations have been few and far between, especially compared to Kith Men, whose collaborations include Giorgio Armani, On Running, Marvel and more. Now, the creative director feels the timing is right to launch Kith Women, which he launched 10 years ago, five years after Kith Men was founded.
Kith has evolved from its early days of hype, and as Fieg himself has grown, he’s moved into a more refined aesthetic and stepped back from the regular show cadence to prioritize product and collaborations. Kith also opened Kith Ivy, a members’ club with a cricket pitch and Erewhon’s only New York outpost (which is just a juice bar). In recent years, Fieg has devoted more time and investment to Kith Women, opening a new Soho flagship store in December 2023. At the same time, he appointed Daniëlle Cathari as creative director, but she quit the following year. (Kith Women has not yet hired a replacement.)
Fieg believes that Kith Women has really found its groove over the past year, under the leadership of Kith Women senior design director Katie Kim, who has joined the company since March 2020. “The collections we have designed over the past year have been very successful. I am very pleased with the progress we have made with the women’s collection,” he said, citing the quality of materials and construction of the garments. The latest Kith women’s collection includes a chocolate brown scarf coat with a subtle all-over Kith jacquard pattern; a faux fur-lined bomber jacket; and suiting – as well as a plethora of logo sweaters. Like the Kith Men, the Kith Women have matured over time while maintaining more of an athletic edge.
