Las Vegas Hair may look like a beauty pageant at first glance, but it’s actually a gathering of women with pieces from other places. Immigrant women from all over the United States arrived with beautiful hair that carried ritual, family, distance, and time. In a country built on sports, their long hair becomes a quiet archive of where they come from, what they retain, and how identities endure even across borders.
