No one got away with it more than Gordon. “Dad cries every time I talk about the wedding,” Holly said fondly. She is the first of Ramsay’s six children to walk down the aisle. “One day I asked him which car he and I were going to take to church, and he was immediately excited.” (The bride’s father preferred to drive one of his sports cars, but they ultimately settled on a Rolls-Royce Phantom — which was better for the “logistics” of the Holly Lace train.)
In addition to accompanying his daughter down the aisle, the acclaimed chef naturally also took on the task of overseeing the wedding breakfast at The House. “Dad always extremely confirmed the bride with a smile, adding that he worked with the team at London’s Savoy Grill to design the menu. While the father of the bride would have scrutinized the traditional Beef Wellington and wine pairing, the canapés circulated at the party “are where I come in,” says Holly. “So it’s spicy vodka pasta, chips… I’m really excited about that part too.”
In September 2024, Adam got down on one knee while on vacation in Crete. They have been married for two-and-a-half years but have been talking about marriage since “literally our first date,” Holly said. “I kind of knew it was coming. I wasn’t sure it was going to be on that holiday…but the fact that he brought a backpack to dinner kind of gave it away.” In the end, the groom hid the ring in the bustling restaurant (“A public proposal was the biggest fear for both of us”) and popped the question when they returned to the villa poolside. “It was perfect,” Holly says now. “Just the two of us.”
We’re just a few weeks away from the big day as we speak, and the bride is full of anticipation. “We’re very traditional in that we won’t be together the night before, so the moment I saw Adam for the first time, right before me and my dad walked down the aisle… I think that’s the moment I’m most excited about.” Holly will be carrying a white ranunculus bouquet by London florist Rob Van Helden on the day, and will be flanked by two bridesmaids on the day, her sister Megan and Tilly, and her bridesmaid, Adam’s sister Bethany. The bridal party was designed by family friend Victoria Beckham. “They both looked incredible in their red VB dresses,” said the bride.
The groom turned 31 the day after the wedding, and Holly said that after a hangover brunch for party guests in the morning (the new Mrs. Ramsay Pitty wore a Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini backless dress), the family would stay at the Kin House for an intimate birthday dinner. “Then it’s my birthday in two days!” After a more festive season than usual, the newlyweds are definitely in need of a break before January. “We were going to Mauritius and just lying on the beach – it was a wedding present from my parents. I had to tell Adam that our honeymoon wasn’t going to be around a 25-metre pool…”
