Let’s be honest: sometimes, the trends we find Fashion Absolutely disgusted. Despite our best efforts to highlight the styles, colors, silhouettes, and accessories we love, we still see algorithms and well-timed celebrity appearances determine which pieces make us cringe.
But that doesn’t stop us from dreaming. here, Fashion Employees weigh in on trends through 2026.

pill box cap
As Pamela Anderson kindly reminded us earlier this year, this perky little hat isn’t just for monarchs and first ladies. While crochet toques seem to be the trendy headwear of the moment, we’re excited to see these ladylike hats making a full comeback in 2026.
everyday gloves
Who says gloves can only be used at the opera or in the winter? Mrs. Prada definitely showed off a show-stopping glove on the Prada Spring 2026 show, and Hannah Einbinder brought it to life in a full Khaite look. A pair of colorful, elbow-length leather gloves is a fun (and slightly weird) way to elevate any outfit—and, for better or worse, it can help keep you off your phone.
cancan boots
Glamorous Victorian fashion is on the rise and we hope to see a renaissance of lace-up boots in the near future. Lady Gaga and Anya Taylor-Joy both tried the look in 2025; Sean McGirr walked it down the runway at McQueen.
Power purple
Butter yellow, baby green, tomato red, Barbie pink… we’ve cycled through most of the colors on the color wheel over the past few years. While Pantone is betting big on “Cloud Dancer” white in 2026, we’re hoping the deep, cool purple hue will shine in the sun.
brooch
Statement necklaces will rule 2025, but we’re ready to see brooches get a little love. Wear a button-down shirt or cardigan (like they did on the Chanel show), or do what Anya Taylor-Joy did and pin a brooch front and center at your throat.
