Harris Reed Exits Nina Ricci

Harris Reed is stepping down as creative director of Nina Ricci and will turn his full attention to his namesake brand. A successor has yet to be determined.

“I leave Nina Ricci with a lot of gratitude and a deep sense of gratitude for the time I spent there,” Reed said in a statement on Instagram. “My deepest gratitude goes to Puig and the entire Nina Ricci team. Indeed, it is an indescribable privilege to walk into a traditional building that not only welcomes me, but actively supports my imagination.”

Reed joined the Puig-owned label in 2022 as part of a group of young emerging designers who are favored by established brands and have a large following. While many of those talents quit after six months to two years, including Ludovic de Saint Sernin (Ann Demeulemeester), Rhuigi Villaseñor (Bally), Serhat Işık and Benjamin A Huseby (Trussardi), Reid’s tenure was not over.

During her tenure at Nina Ricci, Reed brought her gorgeous evening gowns and sculptural silhouettes to the brand. The designer’s final Nina Ricci show took place less than a week ago during Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026 and was inspired by Marie Antoinette’s visit to Glastonbury.

“Everyone at Nina Ricci and Puig would like to express our warmest gratitude to Harris Reed, who has brought us a breath of fresh air, an inspiring, inclusive perspective and extraordinary creativity since his arrival,” Nina Ricci President Ana Trias said in a statement. “Harris has written a beautiful chapter in Nina Ricci’s history.” The brand is currently focused on “redefining the next chapter in line with its long-term strategy,” and will share organizational updates in due course, the statement said.

“When I first came to Nina Ricci, I was 26, recently out of college, single, and finding my footing while learning how to stand confidently with an unconventional voice,” Reed said. “I leave today having learned a lot, grown a lot, and am excited to enter the next chapter of my life in a home I love with my husband (and dog) by my side, ready to move into the next chapter of my own company.”
