“It feels like I’ve been catapulted into a new space,” PinkPantheress said. The 24-year-old British artist releases her second mixtape, like thatA freewheeling mix of dance-pop, British garage and electronic music came out late last year, painted with her biting humor. For her efforts, she won the Producer of the Year award at the BRIT Awards, the first woman ever to win the honour, joining The Beatles’ Brian Eno and George Martin.
Now touring North America and heading to Coachella, the once mostly unknown Pink proudly wears her British Y2K-style tartan. “I feel like I’m experimenting,” she said. “I love delving into a lot of different genres and drawing inspiration from different things. I feel [myself] Going back to my roots, no matter what happens next. “
