The Australian government has announced progress on the US$355.7 million (AU$550 million) redevelopment of Fairfield Hospital, with master planning underway.
The masterplan will outline the vision for the site, including the location of key components of the redevelopment, and designate areas for potential expansion.
In addition, the South Western Sydney Local Health District has begun a review of hospital care models, service delivery and non-clinical support requirements.
Staff consultation is also underway, with community engagement planned to begin in early 2025.
The US$355.7 million (A$550 million) redevelopment project will be finalized during the planning and design stages, with a construction timetable to be determined once a builder is appointed.
