Every Outfit Kate Middleton Has Worn on Christmas Day

When the Princess of Wales spent Christmas with the royal family for the first time at Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk in 2011, after marrying Prince William at Westminster Abbey in 2011, she wore a maroon coat dress and a matching hat by Jane Corbett, the formal dress code.

It’s a tried-and-true formula that she’s employed countless times in the more than a decade since. Kate often opts for festive colors for her annual Christmas service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, from a forest green Sportsmax coat in 2015 to a burgundy Catherine Walker look in 2018 (when Meghan Markle first joined the royal family for Christmas).

Sometimes, the royal throws in a few fashion curveballs: think of the cheery plaid Miu Miu coat she wore in 2017, or the wide-brimmed feather hat she paired with a dark green coat in 2022, which was downright British country style.

Here’s a look at all of the Princess of Wales’ Christmas outfits so far.
