Cecilie Bahnsen Pre-Fall 2026 Collection

Bows are an eternal favorite of Cecilie Bahnsen and were a theme for A Magazine, which she curated last year. “I don’t know if you would call it a romantic pause, but [for pre-fall I] Was looking at some things and by the time we were done talking about them I felt like I wasn’t done yet [the magazine],” said the designer. “The story of the bow is really special to me and I wanted to try to create an entire collection around the bow. ” The collection was then partnered with Nadine Ijewere, who shot the lookbook around a romantic narrative of sisterhood and dress.

Barnson found many, many ways to tie bows into this product. They are woven, embroidered in different varieties, used as closures, in large or extra small sizes, and can be used multiple times. Among the fluffy silhouettes, a simple slip dress stands out. The designer said she chose not to use boning to make the pieces easier to wear. At the same time, she challenged herself technically, incorporating bows into pattern making, so that what looked like it was attached to the dress was actually integrated into the dress—much like a sense of romance is integrated into all of Bahnsen’s work.
