Carey Mulligan Just Introduced King Charles to Barrel-Leg Trousers

Carey Mulligan was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by King Charles III at Windsor Castle yesterday in recognition of her contribution to drama.

Commander Mulligan, who just starred in Prada’s spring 2026 campaign, with the help of stylist Danielle Goldberg, eschewed the campaign’s standard midi-length dress and nude heels, instead opting for an embroidered stand-collar ivory jacket and legged trousers from The Row, paired with oversized Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses. This look is in line with her personal style mantra: stick to comfort. “I feel my best when I’m comfortable,” Mulligan told Fashion At the Prada Spring 2026 fashion show. “Not just when I’m lounging around the house, but also at dinner or at an event. I always want to feel like a slightly more polished version of myself.”
