This year’s hottest makeup trend is blurry lip gloss from celebrity makeup artist Nina Park, who’s been hitting the red carpet all awards season. First, we saw them at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where actors, producers, cinematographers, and more loved the look. And at the 2026 Oscars, stars are still wearing lip liner.
“It’s super easy,” says makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes Fashion early this year. Getting the look is easy too. Start with “a little bit of bronzer and really work it into your brush,” she recommends. “Then apply bronzer around your mouth to create a bronzed halo.”
This softly diffused liner (as opposed to the defined lip lines we’ve been craving for seasons past) gives lips a plump, super-soft look. From there, you can fill in the lipstick color of your choice. Tonight, Emma Stone opted for a brown nude color for a flattering lip look (styled by Park herself!). But when you’re feeling bold, a blurred lip also works well—Jessie Buckley rocked this look in a beautiful shade of red at both the Oscars and SAG Awards.
