What better way to dress high-low than pairing a nude Valentino top with bold black bra straps? At least, that’s what Bella Hadid seems to think.
For dinner in Los Angeles last night, Hadid wore a three-quarter-length sweater belted just below her bust and paired with a pair of classic indigo straight-leg jeans for a low-key look. Accessories-wise, Hadid kept things neutral, accessorizing with a brown Coach Tabby bag, nude pointed-toe Jimmy Choo pumps and sleek oval sunglasses.
But Hadid’s visible black bra straps added a charmingly messy edge to the otherwise neat look. This doesn’t seem to be a coincidence, either: Hadid’s Valentino sweater featured a wide neckline that exposed her collarbone and provided plenty of room for her bra straps.
Hadid is no stranger to cheeky, revealing lingerie. The model arrived in Paris in September, just ahead of Paris Fashion Week, wearing a sheer white tank top paired with a white lace bra that contrasted with her office-appropriate trousers and loafers. In February 2024, she opted for a plain white tank top instead of a black bra, paired with jeans, a leather jacket and tennis shoes.
Of course, not every situation calls for a bold bra combo with a sheer top that falls over your face. But if you want to emulate Bella Hadid, remember: Peek-a-boo bra straps are a playful addition to your underwear-baring look.
