Bella Hadid’s street style embodies the sartorial style of the ’90s—classic denim, cool leather, retro accessories. The internet’s focus on the late Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy reached fever pitch last year, and the model’s latest look proves she might have some CBK saved on her Pinterest board.
Hadid was photographed in Los Angeles yesterday on her way to her first modeling job of the year, and she ticked all the nostalgic style boxes: She wore a vintage caramel brown leather blazer, paired with a black turtleneck, straight-leg black jeans and black pointed-toe ankle boots. For accessories, she accessorized with a black and silver buckle belt, oval sunglasses, square gold earrings, a gold watch and a thin black resin headband. She also had a brown Prada Aimee bag slung over her shoulder. Elegant and simple: so far, so CBK.
Hadid has been leaning into her more casual, model-focused off-duty style as she spends the final days of 2025 and the first day of 2026 in Aspen, Colorado, with other celebrities. While out shopping with friends, she rocked yet another Bessette-Kennedy look: a collarless black leather jacket, white jeans and another pair of Alice-in-laws. Another day, she opted for an oversized leather number and blue jeans tucked into vintage boots — very Gen-X-y.

CBK has been a timeless fashion inspiration and is soaring again following last spring’s announcement that she would be the subject of Ryan Murphy’s FX series, American love story. Up-and-coming Broadway star Sarah Pidgeon will play the publicist, who sadly died in 1999. Pidgeon’s CBK drew criticism after the first photos of her with costar Paul Kelly, who will play John F. Kennedy Jr., were pulled, in large part because of her outfit: a thin brown coat paired with a black turtleneck, cropped trousers, slingback pumps and an empty Birkin bag. Ryan Murphy’s upcoming full-length look at CBK and JFK Jr’s whirlwind love story has the internet in a tizzy about every aspect, from casting to fashion.

Hadid will appear in another of Murphy’s upcoming TV series, beauty. On set in Paris, she was spotted wearing a red leather micro bra, cropped jacket and zip-up pants – while sitting on the back of a motorcycle – filming scenes with Evan Peters. The show is based on the graphic novel of the same name and is set in a world where beauty is a symptom of a deadly sexually transmitted disease. It remains to be seen whether her costumes will be taken home.
Emulating the minimalist aesthetic of the ’90s that Bessette-Kennedy epitomized may seem difficult, but if your attention isn’t on those high-quality fabrics and quietly edgy details, it’s more daunting than you think. Here, Bella Hadid highlights how to do it only Correct.
