SC103 Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

SC103’s new jewelery store on Henry Street is more than just a store, it’s a refuge from the real world. People can come here to rediscover how to interact with objects in a sensory way, the designers said. A stark contrast to a controlled, cool, minimalist outpost of a big brand, 25 Henry Street is an integral part of the brand’s cozy, sophisticated, DIY ethos. Sophie Andes-Gascon and Claire McKinney were personally involved in the design of the store, and for autumn they were thinking about wardrobes in the sense of a physical space, as well as clothing collections that reflect different aspects and experiences of the wearer.

As with all their work, the designers with their fall collection invite people into their world, where imagination thrives and there is room to play. “We invite people to wander there themselves, whether this takes them to a familiar place or a new one. In either case, it is a place of discovery and calm,” said the designers. There was a wildness to the patchwork knits with Puli-like fringe, but not ferocity, an abstract reference to the Jan Brett children’s books, often with elaborate borders, that McKinney loved as a child. A deep burgundy velvet button-front coat with puffy inverted sleeves that looked like it was found in a dress-up treasure chest was actually unearthed from Andean-Gascon memories. In fourth grade, she played Lady Macbeth wearing a cloak made for her by a family friend, who also wore a similar outfit. A bolero with a stand-up drawstring collar and a color-blocked suit exude a medieval vibe.

Conservation is a topic that designers consider. In addition to wool, which has naturally waterproof properties, they also used waxed cotton. Corduroy and plaid seem to represent outdoor adventure and warmth, which has been a priority this year as winter approaches. No matter the season or temperature, the SC103 is designed with an innate warmth that comes from the collaboration and skilled hands of McKinney and Andes-Gascon.
