The Biggest Wellness Trends of 2026

Health is on everyone’s mind. McKinsey & Company reports that the industry is currently worth $2 trillion and will continue to dominate our collective interests. But what will health be like in 2026?

As we start looking ahead to next year, the health picture is growth and expansion. Here’s what you can expect to find in the health space: advancements in longevity (by which we mean legitimate, science-based advancements, not viral TikTok moments) and how we deal with GLP-1, travel with the sole purpose of exercising our bodies and/or minds, and added nutrition in more fun and interesting drink formats.

Here are six health trends that experts predict will be prevalent in 2026. Scroll through to see which trends you should be paying attention to.

Private Members Club: Wellness Edition

Private clubs have become our proverbial third space. By 2026, these clubs will be expanding into the wellness space more than ever before. Narrated by Jonathan Leary, CEO and Founder of Remedy Place Fashion He believes private health membership clubs will become the number one destination for milestone celebrations (e.g. birthdays, bachelorette parties, etc.) and personalized wellness plans that focus on more proactive self-care measures.

But most importantly, Leary said what really drives people to health membership clubs is their desire for a peaceful space away from all the digital noise. “They are the antidote to many of the challenges we face in the modern world,” he said. “People feel bad and alone. The rise of artificial intelligence and digital connectivity will only increase the need for real, in-person experiences.”

“We all crave something authentic,” agrees Alex Feldman, co-founder of health membership club Saint. “The world has become so digital and screen-obsessed that the most radical thing now is to actually feel something – put your feet on real stones, or sit in a cedar-covered room completely out of reach of your phone.”

Saint, a private sauna and ice bath studio set to open in New York later this year, plans to focus more on personalizing the experience for its clients, allowing for a more luxurious and private experience. Saint co-founder Amanda Hensen added: “It’s not about social events and stereotypical wellness practices, it’s about an intentional break from the chaos of city life and an opportunity to reconnect with your inner peace.”

Fitness tourism boom

From the viral UCPA adult tennis camp in Chamonix to the ultimate luxury surf resort at Surf Synergy in Costa Rica, the 2026 vacation reset will take on a whole new meaning as fitness travel takes off. McKinsey & Company’s recent Wellness 2025 report shows increased demand for in-person services such as boutique fitness classes in the travel sector. The report states that 60% of consumers who traveled for health and wellness treatments in 2024 will continue to do so on future trips, while 30% of consumers who spent money on such activities are happy to increase their spending in the next year.
