The Australian Government has announced the 2024 Rapid Applied Research Translation Funding Opportunity, which will award up to US$25.5 million (AU$40 million) to projects focused on high-quality healthcare.
This grant supports late-stage research with the potential to impact clinical care, health services and practice, and translate into existing policy.
Qualified programs must leverage established knowledge and evidence to rapidly translate research findings into actionable health care improvements.
Key goals include addressing gaps in current healthcare practices and interventions to achieve better health outcomes.
In addition, projects need to involve all relevant stakeholders (e.g., health care consumers and providers) in the planning, design, and conduct of their research.
Funding is provided through the Medical Research Future Fund's Rapid Applied Research Translation Scheme. Applications will open on February 10, 2025.
