‘Dragon Quest’ Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary By Revealing ‘Dragon Quest XII’

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything about the next mainline project Dragon Quest legend, Dragon Quest 12but the wait is worth it.

The reason for the delay is that the game’s development has been started from scratch, which often happens in Japanese game development.

Gone is the more mature, darker tone originally promised, replaced by a more typical style. Dragon Quest– A visual and setting approach to the style has been adopted (shown below).

The subtitles of the game are beyond dreams The protagonist (pictured above) is haunted by strange visions in his sleep, along with a motley crew of companions. From young looking humanoid dragons to cool looking robots.

Yuji Horii also specifically stated that the character design and music will be completed by Akira Toriyama and Koichi Sugiyama respectively. However, without being disrespectful, both gentlemen are no longer with us, so I’m guessing they’ll be reusing their previous work.

Another news is Dragon Quest Monsters Getting a new entry with the subtitle withered world. That’s good, because these games tend to get overlooked compared to the mainline games.

I was hoping we’d see something new about dragon quest builder game, but I guess after being a bit bland Dragon Quest Creators 2the series may now be dormant.

Another good news is Dragon Quest XI S A new version will be released on Switch 2 soon. The original game is arguably one of the best RPGs ever made, and with it being nearly a decade old, it seems like a good candidate for a brand new update, with a planned release date of September 24th.

Anyway, because I’m a diehard Dragon Quest Fans, I’m excited to see that the series is still going strong after 40 years, with another mainline entry coming in the near future.
