The annual Cannes Film Festival has come to an end. If anyone was scared or upset that Bella Hadid, the anointed queen of Cannes, didn’t deliver on the killer outfits she promised for her Croisette appearance (gilded Schiaparelli lungs! hijab patchwork dress!), those concerns were allayed. In fact, this season on the French Riviera may be her best yet.
Now, the red carpet tour is over. Hadid was free to enjoy the South of France without compromising on style. The model was spotted out and about in Saint-Tropez with her brother (and most recent step-and-repeat) Anwar Hadid, both dressed in their best summer goth styles. Bella chose a nearly sheer black V-neck maxi dress by Massimo Dutti, which she paired with black flip-flop sandals and plenty of gold jewelry: a Chelsea Girl amethyst ring, a Chanel Gripoix cross pendant necklace and a Shay Pave diamond pinky ring, as well as a multi-layered thin gold chain necklace, ear cuffs, gold bracelets and oval sunglasses. On her arm is a croissant bag woven by Massimo Dutti. Her hair was slicked back into a side-swept bun.
She linked arms with Anwar, who wore a black scoop tank top and maxi cargo shorts (a trend that has already been Fashion), a distressed gray hat and black sneakers.

It marked a smooth transition from the high-octane looks Bella and stylist Mimi Cuttrell have been showing off at the Cannes Film Festival, which the model has been attending for about 10 years. This season, she’s relying on killer classic styles: from Marc Jacobs Spring 2003’s icy blue zip dress to sparkling Elie Saab. There were also some wonderful couture and runway moments, like a rule-breaking non-nudity Schiaparelli gown and some princess-like Prada.
