I’m not a big fan of sneakers. I don’t usually bring a pair when I travel! So when I travel in sneakers, I reach for my old faithfuls: a pair of well-worn white Marnis.

My travel sneakers of choice are Jamie Haller’s Sachetto sneakers. I love the mix of nylon and suede; for someone like me who’s not into sneakers, it feels classy and versatile.

Do I have any hiking planned for my upcoming vacation? No. What else do I love about these gorpcore travel shoes? Absolutely.
Sneakers are the only shoes I wear in the airport, and these Salomons have quickly become my go-to. They’re neutral enough to match the most basic of outfits, but add the perfect pop of color and they instantly become more interesting. While my current vacation plans mainly involve lying on the beach, it’s nice to know I’m prepared in case of a spontaneous hike.

I have an almost pathological obsession with Wales Bonner x Adidas sneakers – I still have a (now worn) pair of teal and brown SL72s from the first collection of 2020, and I must have picked up six or seven different styles in the years since. To me, they are the perfect airplane shoe—super comfortable and easy to pull off, but stylish enough to not look sloppy. There’s no better travel shoe than retro sneakers.

I tend to wear my bulkiest shoes to the airport to save luggage space, and in the summer, those shoes are sneakers. These bright red Adidas SL72 running shoes are a great choice for those suffering from samba fatigue. I’ve been an All-Star in some form since high school. Right now, I love wearing navy high tops with a poplin skirt and a white dress.
