Milan Fashion Week (MFW) 2027 spring and summer men’s wear season will kick off on June 19. It’s a relatively stripped-down version, but one that blends traditional powerhouses with a growing emphasis on emerging talent.
“Milan is still a let [the fashion] Carlo Capasa, president of the Italian National Fashion Institute (CNMI), which organized the week “This system is at its fullest expression, an open platform capable of creating cultural and economic value for Italy and the rest of the world,” said Milan Fashion Week Men. “This Milan Fashion Week Men’s reaffirms this mission with a rich offering that goes well beyond the main focus of the fashion shows. In addition to the fashion shows, there will be a large number of talks and other events that respond to changing experimental forms and languages, energize the city and expand the conversation about contemporary men’s fashion.”
The week will feature 16 fashion shows, 44 talks, and scattered appointments and events taking place around the city. Thom Browne headlined the event on June 22 with the first official men’s show in Milan. The designer recently held his Fall/Winter 2026 show in San Francisco during Super Bowl weekend, and has previously held shows in Paris, New York and Florence during Pitti Uomo.
Along with Thom Browne, Garcias, the brand founded by Nicolas Martin Garcia that combines Colombian, Italian and American influences, will join the mix for the first time. There’s also contemporary Copenhagen brand Martin Quad and Tokyo-based brand Shinyakozuka, known for its workwear silhouettes.
Also highly anticipated is Pronounce, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this season. The Milan-based Chinese brand is known for blending East Asian craftsmanship with modern tailoring and streetwear styles.
Ralph Lauren will hold a fashion show on June 19, returning to the city for the first time in more than 20 years last season. Meanwhile, mainstays including Prada, Paul Smith, Etro and Dolce & Gabbana will continue to dominate the city’s luxury menswear offering. Gucci and Fendi remain absent from the schedule due to a transition of creative leadership between the two companies, while Zegna will hold its fashion show in Los Angeles instead of Milan this season.
Finally, Leo Dell’Orco and Silvana Armani will make their first joint appearance for Giorgio Armani. The evening show will include the men’s spring/summer 2027 collection, as well as select women’s early spring 2027 pieces.
MFW Menswear, while still dominated by legacy brands, is increasingly looking to position itself as a platform for emerging talent. For the third consecutive season, CNMI will make Fondazione Sozzani a center for emerging brands, hosting fashion shows by Domenico Orefice, Martin Quad, Pronounce and Simon Cracker, as well as presentations by Bottega Bernard, Grossi, Sagaboi and others.
“This is an investment in the future of Italian fashion: believing in our talent means giving them the tools and the right environment to grow,” Capassa said.
