What should you try?
“What’s your main concern?” Freddie asked. “I’m older,” I replied. “Same, same,” he replied. Freddy bravely used some anti-aging products (gone are the days when we all pretended to be optimistic about the course of time), which were created with the expertise of the Dior Anti-Aging Committee, a group of 600 researchers who work with Dior to incorporate the latest research into their skincare portfolio. (I had been using Dior serums and moisturizers for a few weeks when I arrived at the spa. He didn’t reveal this to Freddy, but he complimented my skin tone and texture, which felt like some kind of non-scientific but promising endorsement.) Recent clients have also apparently responded strongly to the Haute Couture Facial, which, as its name suggests, was developed with celebrity esthetician Sarah Akram and, true to its name, begins with a personal skin-quality measurement and is then tailored to each guest.
What else do we need to know?
Poitier says that while I haven’t tried it, the Dior light therapy ritual has also been popular among recent guests. In this treatment, an LED-encrusted “sky” emits four different light “vibes”: Bliss (rejuvenating, exclusive to Dior Spa New York), Recharge (helps reduce signs of fatigue), Recovery (promotes circadian balance), and Rest (supports relaxation and sleep comfort).
Who can go?
The spa is open to anyone with an appointment.
