All the Red Carpet Looks From the ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ New York Premiere

From Mexico City, to Tokyo, to Shanghai——The Devil Wears Prada 2 The press tour has become a global phenomenon, all leading up to tonight’s highly anticipated New York premiere. Each appearance featured some of the season’s most luxurious styles, including looks from Susan Fang, Schiaparelli, Valentino, Chanel, Stella McCartney, and, certainlyPrada. This designer blitz is a far cry from the understated looks seen on the Los Angeles Film Festival red carpet 20 years ago. As Meryl Streep in ” fashion magazine Greta Gerwig’s May 2026 cover story, “Well, everyone was scared of Anna in the first photo, so we couldn’t find any clothes.”

This time, vibrant, fresh-faced fashion took center stage. “I know the eyeballs it draws,” Erin Walsh, Anne Hathaway’s longtime stylist and former Voguette stylist in the early 2000s, told us fashion magazine Christian Allaire. What was the inspiration for such an exciting look? “If you look at all the major homes that have these new [designers] “Their philosophy is to be happy and dress in a way that makes you feel like a supernova,” explains Walsh.

There’s also ample opportunity to play up the nostalgia of the original movie costumes. Some actors wore their own updated versions of the famous sky blue—Streep wore a custom J.Crew crewneck sweater, Hathaway opted for a fringed Sacai, and Simone Ashley (Gen Z’s Emily) wore a Fidan Novruzova dress.
