Kylie and Kendall Jenner Have a Spring It-Shoe-Off

The Jenner sisters have long maintained their own sartorial style. Kendall Jenner, collector of minimalism from The Row, lover of loafers and straight-leg jeans. Kylie Jenner usually wears slim-fitting silhouettes, leather-on-leather outfits, and obnoxious little heels. The sisters kicked off a spring shoe-off experience with a night out at Hollywood’s favorite sushi park, along with Kylie’s costar Timothée Chalamet.

Kylie appeared first, followed closely by Chalamet. (The couple has kept a low profile since the Oscars and recently vacationed together in the Turks and Caicos Islands.) The Kylie Cosmetics mogul opted for a familiar sartorial formula: a cropped black tank top paired with low-rise tailored suit pants and a faux croc-print Gucci shoulder bag. On her feet were a pair of black high heels.

Next up was her sister, who fit all the usual Kendall Jenner traits: The model wore a navy New York Yankees baseball cap, paired with a tailored black leather blazer, a buttery yellow T-shirt and indigo straight-leg jeans. Red scarf (Kendall like a tomato) tied to her shoulder bag from The Row. On her feet she wore a pair of black glove-like ballet flats with a high vamp and V-neck design.

The thong heel sandal will once again be a key style for spring. Minimalist with a ’90s twist, these high-heeled flip-flops will pair well with Kylie-inspired tailoring or the season’s cropped trousers, skirts and dresses. Kendall and Hailey Bieber have also proven themselves fans of flip-flop heels, while also appearing on the runways of Khaite, Alaïa and Gucci.

Smooth, second-skin shoes like the Kendall are officially having their moment again. Chanel’s glove pumps were featured in Matthieu Blazy’s debut, while brands like Wales Bonner and Toteme also showed soft leather ballet flats with high vamps. Zoë Kravitz, Jennifer Lawrence and Katie Holmes are also fans of sophisticated ballet flats.

The question is: Which way do spring shoe trends lean? you Falling?
