Spring is here, and Jennifer Lawrence is waking up from hibernation.
We last saw Lawrence in January last year, when she wore a furry leopard-print coat while riding an electric bike around New York City. But now, she’s stripping off her clothes to welcome the warmer weather.
The morning after Easter, the actor accompanied her son Cy to the park. But even in a low-key look for his morning outing, Lawrence still highlighted one of the fall 2026 runway show’s biggest trends: primary colors.
Lawrence paid homage to the Beatles in a buttery yellow “Strawberry Fields Forever” T-shirt from Junk Food Outfitters, which she wore under a vibrant red-collar cardigan and medium-wash drawstring blue jeans. Her accessories were on point, too—she paired the cherry red in her sweater with slim-fitting Adidas Tokyo sneakers and opted for a blue Monet “Water Lily” baseball cap from Shrits.
But not everything was strictly first and foremost: Lawrence was carrying a brown Hermès Lindy bag and covering her eyes with tan-rimmed dark sunglasses. She even tried a secondary color on her emerald beaded necklace.
While Lawrence’s look was decidedly understated, it represented an ongoing fashion theme. For spring, Michael Rider showed off primary colors in daisy-print miniskirts, sweatshirts and scarves at Celine, while Duran Lantink showed off motorcycle-inspired designs at Jean Paul Gaultier. Saint Laurent followed suit with ’80s-inspired trench coats and sheath slips for resort, while Chanel experimented with pattern mixing at Métiers d’art.
Fashion’s love affair with yellow, red and blue has continued into fall: popular brands like Lii and Auralee are introducing primary color blocking, while heritage brands like Loewe and Stella McCartney have also jumped on the trend. Jennifer Lawrence reminded us in crisp jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers that copying runway trends is as easy as pulling them out of your own wardrobe.
