Andy Sachs is back in business. that’s right, The Devil Wears Prada 2 The press conference kicked off Monday in Mexico City, led by stars Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. While Hathaway certainly sported looks her character would be proud of (a black fringed Schiaparelli gown and a sequined magenta miniskirt from Stella McCartney), eagle-eyed fans will notice that she also made some subtle nods to the film’s signature color: stiletto red.
Hathaway chose a red micro French manicure designed by Sara Roomer, which perfectly matched the iconic high heels from the movie poster, proving that details determine success or failure. Created by manicurist Betina Goldstein, the micro French manicure is one of spring’s hottest manicure trends and is defined by a barely-there line of color along the free edge of the nail.

With stops growing in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, New York and London, there are sure to be more Easter eggs and Instagram-worthy manicure looks to come. Our bet? Sky blue, floral nails or a plaid mani all totally justify Andi’s “ugly dress”.
