Earlier this year, London Fashion Week welcomed an unexpected guest: King Charles III attended his first fashion show, sitting front row at Tolu Coker’s Fall 2026 show. Today, the Princess of Wales followed her father-in-law’s cue and wore an off-white coat by a British-Nigerian designer to welcome Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.

This double-breasted coat from Coker’s Fall 2024 collection is an unusually edgy choice for the Princess. Kate tends to rely on tailoring when it comes to formal engagements, but usually it’s something from McQueen or Catherine Walker. However, the sought-after young London designer can trace her roots to royalty more than the king appearing in her front row. Coker, who launched his eponymous brand in 2018, was an early beneficiary of The Prince’s Trust and received guidance and support from the organization as he built his brand. Eight years later, her ’60s-inspired creations are a highlight on the London Fashion Week calendar.
