The 2026 Oscars concluded tonight. It’s no surprise that many of Hollywood’s A-listers saved their best looks for last – attending the 98th Academy Awards in their most beautiful formal attire. Will it? yes Isn’t the Oscars a little giddy?
While traditional glamor certainly dominated the evening — think sharp suits and elegant gowns, two enduring mainstays of the Oscars red carpet — there were some options that felt fresher, more modern, and less dramatic. all expected.
Of course, many of the award-winning moments came from Best Actress nominees. Rose Byrne opted for traditional glamor in a black strapless Dior dress by Jonathan Anderson, embellished with delicate floral embroidery. (This look is based on a look from Anderson’s recent Spring 2026 Haute Couture collection.) Jessie Buckley went color-blocked by Chanel, opting for a Grace Kelly-inspired pink and red off-the-shoulder gown that was both soft and romantic.
Best Supporting Actress nominee Elle Fanning chose a strapless white Givenchy gown by Sarah Burton that was a little bridal and a little Grace Kelly in the best way. Long skirt designs dominated the night, but others — like supporting actress winner Amy Madigan — opted for suits, opting for an embellished Dior jacket that shimmered in the lights.
In men’s clothing, fierce competition Star Hudson Williams looked dapper in a stylish black Balenciaga tuxedo, paired with a matching collared shirt and brooch. Joe Alwyn wore a custom-made black Valentino suit, which was made even more irreverent by the loose bow tie. For Hollywood men, it’s all about taking classic menswear styles and subverting them a little – like Pedro Pascal, who ditched the jacket for a white-collared shirt and a big chrysanthemum corsage.
Here are the best-dressed stars at the 2026 Oscars. Be sure to vote for your favorite look and come back to see who was named best dressed of the night.
