An important part of loving your hair is understanding it. But for those with curly hair, reading these signs can be a little difficult. Hairstylist Samantha Draper previously said Fashion, “Typically, the sign of curly hair is air-dried hair with S-shaped waves. Curly hair is also voluminous than straight hair and can often be described as voluminous or voluminous.” Another common indicator of curly hair is frizz, so “if your hair feels frizzy, dry, and reacts to humidity, you probably have naturally curly hair,” adds Draper.
The next step in your hair journey is to figure out which hair type and hair style work best for you. Shahid Dilshad Pasha, senior coaching manager at Davines India, says one of the biggest misconceptions about cutting curly hair is that curly hair should be cut in the same way as straight hair. “If the natural pattern is ignored, the cut will look uneven after drying.”
A good cut for wavy hair removes excess volume, avoids blunt weight, and strategically distributes weight to reduce frizz and maintain body and movement. Here are some of our favorites.

Sonia Presswala, creative director of hair and makeup at Looks Salon, says the combination of curtain bangs, feathered layers and textured ends gives curls a natural, effortless feel because it “complements the wavy texture, rather than the other way around.”
