How to secure a veil so it stays in place all day?
Veils often come with a hair comb that helps you clip your hair to hold the veil in place. A classic veil comb can be used more safely by first pointing the teeth of the comb towards your face and working it through the hair on your scalp. Then, flip it back to match the curve of your head and push further to secure it. You can add more bobby pins to make sure it doesn’t move. Without a comb, bobby pins will once again become your best friend to ensure it stays in place.
How do you prevent your veil from damaging your curly or textured hair?
The best way to avoid damaging your curls is to provide a holding point for your veil. Creating a small braid or ponytail allows you to connect the veil to that point without having to follow typical methods that can disrupt the textured style.
Should the veil be above or below the hair?
It all depends on your preference. If you have a bun on the back of your head, you can place a veil underneath the bun to show off the style, or place a veil on top so it covers the bun.
How long should you wear a veil on your wedding day?
Again, it’s up to you. While many people decide to remove the veil after the ceremony for greater flexibility, it is perfectly possible to wear it all day long. If you want to wear it for a long time, a veil style that is short enough and not easily stepped on is the best choice.
