But instead of portraying this early relationship as formative and complex, the show flattens Hannah (played by the amazing (and underserved) Dree Hemingway) into a whiny, incompetent “other woman.” In fact, by all accounts she was anything but that – a determined young actor who made her screen debut at just 17 in Brian De Palma’s 1978 horror film. furious; Promoted to leading lady in her 20s; and became the talk of the town, continuing to act, write, direct and produce.
